Full description
Give space to your adventurous spirit and enjoy an extraordinary 3-hour canyoning experience in Val Maor.
You will move on foot, slide over rocks, dive into crystal-clear water and abseil feeling like a true adventurer: it will be a real journey to the centre of the earth!
Access to the route is quite simple and does not present any particular difficulties, ideal for those who want to try this activity for the first time.
What we will do
The meeting place is in Mel, in the province of Belluno. I will welcome you together with the other participants and, during an introductory briefing, I will explain how the activity will take place and how to move around safely. I will also hand over the planned equipment, including acomplete harness with longes, karabiners and descender, and show you how to use it.
After the briefing we can begin our adventure. The route winds its way through the lush green hills of the Val Belluna, characterised by four long stretches carved out of sedimentary rock. Our canyon will offer us the spectacle of an almost hypogean environment, where we can observe stupendous phenomena of rock erosion.
We will be able to walk between high walls and try our hand at a series of obstacles, such as dives from a height of more than 4 metres (not obligatory) and rope descents of up to 10 metres, as well as fun natural slides. The water flow is average and the route does not present any particular technical difficulties.
You will be enchanted by an environment of singular beauty, immersed in the wilderness of Val Maor. At the end of the route, we will return to the starting point by van.
The activity lasts a total of 3 hours, including briefing and transfer.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for those with good physical fitness, mobility and aquatic skills . It is not recommended for claustrophobics.
Theminimum age for participation is 10 years.
Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult, while 15 to 18-year-olds can participate alone with a parent's release.
Other information
The activity is available from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
It is possible to rent canyoning shoes at an extra cost of 10€: ask the organisers after the booking confirmation.
Photos are taken during the activity and will be sent to participants by phone or email.
Showers with cold water are available at the meeting point.
