Get ready for abreathtaking nature adventure with canyoning at the Farfa Gorge in the heart of Sabina in the province of Rieti.
The Farfa river has been declared a natural monument because of the lush vegetation that runs along it and the crystal-clear water that has formed many gorges over the years, like the one you will enter.
This is anunmissable experience for those who want to experience the thrill of plunging into a canyon, but at the same time do not feel like tackling verticality such as abseiling or diving. Join us for a fun and... very watery!
What we will do
We will meet in Mompeo, in the province of Rieti, at 10:30 am. We will reach the canyon entry point together, where the guide will give a briefing on safety rules and progression techniques.
Once we have donned our wetsuits and harnesses, we will dive. Right from the start we will be able to admire how the flowing water creates a series of fun games in which we can try our hand. We will encounter many puddles of water and stretches in which, staying afloat with our wetsuit on, we will let ourselves be carried along by the flow of the Farfa river.
We will stay inside the canyon for about two and a half hours. We will then return to the meeting point, where we can change and retrieve our cars.
In total, the activity, including walking and briefing, lasts about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 15. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
There are no special requirements, but it is important not to be noticeably overweight. It is not necessary to know how to swim, but you should not be afraid of water.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from May to November and is confirmed when there are at least 8 participants.
During the activity, it is advisable to remove your glasses or provide yourself with a lanyard to reduce the possibility of losing them.
Long hair must be tied back during the activity.
