Live a fantastic experience in contact with nature in the magnificent scenery of the Apuan Alps and the torrents that flow through the rocks. Have fun and discover wonderful places by canyoning on the Serra river. Discover an exciting and refreshing activity!
You will walk along the stream bed dotted with beautiful marble pools, where you can abseil or dive, until you reach the highlight of the excursion: a very steep 12-metre slide that allows a thrilling plunge into the natural pool of Malbacco. An activity that will thrill the little ones and make even the grown-ups feel like children again!
There will be experienced instructors guiding, making the activity fun and safe for everyone, even those who have never canyoned before. Let yourself go on a new adventure, you won't regret it!
What we will do
We will meet in Camaiore, in the province of Lucca. We will meet the guides who will provide us with thetechnical equipment to carry out the activity and we will drive to the entrance of the canyon in Seravezza. At our destination, we will don a wetsuit, helmet and harness and have a briefing on safety rules and progression techniques.
The Serra river springs directly from the Apuan peaks of Monte Altissimo, where the famous marble quarries from which Michelangelo supplied himself are located. We will walk along its bed among the rocks, with a walk interspersed with simple dips and descents into crystal-clear pools, observing the wonderful river scenery until we reach the natural pool of Malbacco. This will be the highlight of the experience as we will let ourselves go on a very high toboggan, a natural slide of around 12 metres. A moment of pure fun that we will be able to repeat over and over again!
After that, we will continue the canyoning route until we reach a pool suitable for a relaxing final swim. After leaving the stream bed, we will return to the car in 10 minutes on foot along a path.
The activity lasts a total of 5 hours, of which 3 hours will be needed to complete the 4 km canyoning route. Dives, slides and rappels are often avoidable and, in any case, the experienced guide will assist the more timid on the more challenging parts of the route to ensure fun and safety for all.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up. No previous canyoning experience is needed, but it is necessary to be able to swim and be in good physical condition given the length of the route (3 hours).

The activity takes place from June to September.
At the end of the course, changing rooms and showers are available at a local hostel, at an additional cost of EUR 3 per person, payable locally.
