Immerse yourself in the beautiful Umbrian landscape with a one-hour carriage ride around Perugia.
To the slow rhythm of the horses' hooves, you will cross woods and countryside in a suggestive itinerary that will take you from Umbertide to one of the most beautiful places in Umbria: the Castle of Civitella Ranieri.
Situated on a hill and surrounded by a centuries-old forest, this fortress still possesses a magical charm. Admire it from the outside for the first time and enjoy this experience suitable for the whole family!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the agriturismo in Umbertide (PG), immersed in a beautiful natural setting on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. On arrival we will be welcomed by the guide, who will seat us in the carriage.
We will then move in the direction of the Castle of Civitella Ranieri. Due to its position on a hill near the Gubbio-Umbertide road and the centuries-old forest surrounding it, the fortress is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating in the region.
We will take a carriage ride along a beautiful route through woods and cultivated fields. On the way, we will be able to observe the landscape at our leisure, while our guide tells us interesting stories and anecdotes about the place. It will be aunique experience, in which we will feel as if we are outside of time!
After about half an hour, we will arrive near the castle and get out of the carriage to visit it from the outside. Finally, we will resume our journey back to Umbertide. The activity lasts about an hour in total.
