Enjoy an exciting carriage ride to Spello, an enchanting Umbrian village rich in history and charm.
Starting from Rivotorto, you will drive along theancient Via degli Ulivi (Olive Tree Road ) in a vehicle from another era, allowing you to admire the landscape in absolute relaxation. You will then discover Spello, where a rich tasting of wine and typical products awaits you.

What we will do
The appointment is at 9.00 a.m. near Rivotorto in Assisi (PG). We will be welcomed by guides and horses already harnessed and ready for the tour. After introductions, we will get into the carriage and set off in the direction of Spello.
We will travel along the ancient Via degli Ulivi, a scenic road through one of the most fascinating areas of Umbria. Along the way, we will be able to admire the beautiful landscape of the Foligno plain and Monte Subasio.
After about half an hour's carriage ride, we will arrive at anorganic winery in Spello, where a rich tasting of wine and typical products (included) will await us. Before activating our taste buds, the owners will give us a tour of the vineyards and cellars, explaining the difference between the various types of grapes and the processes involved in their production.
We will then sit down at the table to taste a selection of the best labels and typical local products. We will taste wild boar sausage, different types of bruschetta (with oil, dried tomato, mushrooms, fresh tomato), Norcia ham, capocollo, salad, Umbrian salami, mixed caciotta and 4 types of wine.
After the break, we re-board the carriage to return to Assisi. On the return journey, we will admire the surrounding countryside in anatmosphere of absolute peace and tranquillity, seemingly suspended in time.
The activity lasts a total of about 4 hours.

The tour can be booked all year round, subject to weather conditions and guide availability.
Each carriage can carry a maximum of 6 persons. For groups of several participants, 2 carriages will be used.
In theevent of allergies, intolerances or other dietary choices (e.g. coeliacs, vegetarians), alternative tasting options are available. Please contact the organiser after booking confirmation to inform him of your requirements.
A shuttle service to and from Assisi and surrounding areas, within a radius of 30 km, is available on request at a cost of €30 per round trip.
