Delve into the depths of the earth with a speleo-canyoning route that will take you to the karstic cave of Fonte Buia in the Calvana mountains in the province of Prato.
You will travel along underground streams and be surrounded by impressive walls of stalactites and stalagmites.
An expert guide will accompany you on this fascinating journey to the centre of the earth. It will be an evocative experience that will show you the darkest and most hidden side of nature!
What we will do
We will meet the guide in Vaiano, in the province of Prato, and in a 10-minute walk we will reach the starting point of our speleo-canyoning excursion. We will be provided with all thetechnical equipment and , before entering the cave, we will have a briefing on behaviour and safety rules.
The darkness of the Fonte Buia cave will engulf us and transport us into a fascinating and surreal dimension. With the help of frontal light we will progress between water and rock, encountering limestone formations and crystalline pools formed by the underground stream.
We will be surrounded by spectacular walls of stalactites and stalagmites and , following the sound of the water, we will reach splendid underground waterfalls, which we will easily cross with the help of a rope.
The route is mainly horizontal, also suitable as a first experience of caving-canyoning. The guide will always be at our side to give us assistance and support and reveal all the secrets of the depths of the earth.
The activity lasts a total of about 3 hours and ends with the return to the meeting point. It will take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the route inside the cave, depending on the number and level of participants.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 8 years old and up. No specific skills or previous experience are required, you just need to be in good health and not be afraid of enclosed spaces and water (a life jacket can be provided on request).
Canyoning requires some physical effort. If you are over 60 years of age, contact your guide to make sure you can do the activity.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
This activity can be booked all year round and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
No rings can be worn during the activity and, if you wear glasses, you will have to fix them so that you do not lose them. It would be better to wear contact lenses.
Itis not permitted to wear rock shoes or rock climbing shoes. Hiking, running or classic trainers are permitted. Alternatively, suitable shoes can be hired on site at a cost of €10.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
