Full description

If you’d like to try rafting on one of the most fascinating rivers in the Alps, this experience in the Stura Valley is a great place to start. Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll cover around 8–9 km through rapids and stretches surrounded by nature!

During the descent, you’ll reach the picturesque Gole dell’Olla, where you can stop for a swim or take a plunge from the rocks, and you’ll round off the experience with water, fun and scenery that changes with every bend in the river!

What we will do

Please arrive 15–20 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Demonte (CN). The rafting guide who will accompany us throughout the descent will be waiting for us there. After registration and getting kitted out, we will form the teams and board the shuttle bus that will take us to the embarkation point, about 3 km from the base.

Once we arrive on the banks of the Stura, we’ll take part in a short safety briefing during which we’ll learn the main navigation rules and the commands to follow on the raft.

We will then begin our adventure along the river, traversing one of the most fascinating natural environments in the Alps. Paddling through bends and lively stretches, we will observe the rich vegetation that characterises the valley and the landscapes shaped by the water over time.

During the descent, we will stop for those who wish to try their hand at diving from the rocks into the river. There will also be opportunities to stop for photographs or to use a GoPro attached to your helmet or life jacket.

We will continue to the spectacular Gole dell’Olla, where the river narrows between rocky walls before flowing into the Roccasparvera basin. At the end of the roughly 2-hour trip, we can choose whether to return to the landing point on the dinghy or treat ourselves to one last swim.

Shuttles will then take us back to base, where hot showers and facilities will be available. The activity will last a total of 3 hours.

This activity is suitable for children aged 6 and over; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or provide a signed authorisation form.
