Full description
Discover a magnificent sport in close contact with nature and immerse yourself in the splendid setting of the cliffs of the Maritime Alps, in the province of Cuneo, for a day of approach to climbing or practice aimed at improving your technique.
An alpine guide will take your first steps on the rock in total safety and pass on to you the immense passion for a discipline that will lead you to discover wonderful places and push your limits.
If you have a desire for adventure and wish to put yourself to the test, this is the right activity for you!
What we will do
We will meet at 8 a.m. at the mountain guides' headquarters in Cuneo. Having formed the group (4 to 8 participants) and made the necessary introductions, we will set off by car to one of the many crags in the area. The location will be chosen by the guide depending on the time of year, weather conditions and the level of the group. In any case, they will be wonderful places in the heart of the Maritime Alps, where unspoilt nature reserves surprises and emotions.
The Cuneo area is famous among climbers, as it offers numerous enchanting climbing spots, such as the Curnalét crag in Vernante or the Monte Bracco crag in Saluzzo. Once on site, we will conduct a theory lesson on basic concepts and techniques, and then continue the day with a series of gradually more challenging exercises.
The course will focus on progression techniques as second climbers. We will also learn safety methods to safeguard companions on the ascent and descent, and we will do balancing exercises, limb coordination improvement, and self-esteem exercises to overcome fear of heights.
You'll see that after taking your first steps on the rock, you won't want to come down!
The day ends at around 17:00 with the return to Cuneo.
