Full description

What would your perfect bar of chocolate be like? In Modica, you can actually make it yourself.

For two hours, you’ll step into the heart of a chocolate factory, surrounded by the aroma of cocoa and endless combinations to experiment with. You’ll come up with the recipe yourself, tailoring it to your tastes right down to the very last ingredient.

And at the end, you’ll leave with something truly unique: your very own chocolate, made by you.

What we will do

The event takes place at the selected time at the chocolate factory in Modica (RG), where we will be welcomed by the master chocolatiers who will guide us throughout the experience.

We’ll begin with a 15-minute introduction to cocoa processing. We’ll discover the steps involved in transforming cocoa beans into cocoa mass and gain a closer understanding of the raw material we’ll be using as the basis for our creation.

Then it’s our turn! First, we’ll choose the cocoa mass to use, learning to recognise the differences between the various origins and their aromatic characteristics, such as aroma, acidity and texture.

We’ll then move on to creating our own personalised recipe: we’ll decide on the cocoa percentage, choose the type of sugar and select the ingredients to combine to achieve our preferred flavour and texture.

At this point, we’ll get down to the heart of the process: we’ll melt the cocoa mass, mix the ingredients and pour the mixture into the moulds to finally shape our chocolate bar. Finally, we’ll personally wrap the bar, which we can take home at the end of the workshop.

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours in total.
