Discovery Scuba Diving on Elba Island

Dive into the world of diving with a Discovery Scuba Diving experience on the Island of Elba!

You will have access to a theory lesson, practical exercises and adive to 12 metres under the supervision of a qualified instructor.

Finally, you will obtain a certification valid for 6 months to access the PADI Open Water patent!

What we will do

The appointment is 45 minutes before the time selected during the booking process at the meeting point in Cavo (LI). Awaiting us will be theinstructor, who will guide us in this first approach to the world of scuba diving.

We will begin with a theoretical lesson on land, in which we will learn the basic principles of breathing and buoyancy in water, the use of equipment, hand signals used for communication underwater, and basic safety precautions.

We will then go into the confined waters of the bay adjacent to the diving centre to perform practical exercises and learn basic techniques before the actual dive. The practical exercises carried out during the programme can be accredited for the PADI Open Water Diver course, making it easier and quicker to obtain full diving certification.

Once we have gained confidence in the confined waters, it will be time for our first open water dive under the supervision of the instructor. During the dive, we will be able to reach a depth of 12 metres, closely exploring the seabed teeming with marine life.

At the end of the activity we will receive a certification valid for 6 months, which will allow us to continue the course and obtain the PADI Open Water Diver licence.

The experience lasts a total of approximately 4 hours .

Who it is aimed at

The activity is aimed at those wishing to approach scuba diving for the first time, without immediately committing to a full certification course.

The experience is suitable from the age of 10; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a signed release form.

Swimming skills are required to participate in the activity.

The experience is prohibited for pregnant women and persons suffering from pulmonary problems, asthma and epilepsy.

A licence is not required to participate.

The experience takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 3 participants.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

Any accompanying persons can wait at the meeting point.

It is not recommended to dive 24 hours before a flight.
