If you want to experience anauthentic adventure together with your four-legged friend, our trekking tour in and around Vinci is the right activity for you.
A guide and a dog trainer will take you to discover the town of Leonardo da Vinci. Afterwards, you will immerse yourself in nature among olive groves and centuries-old trees to reach the birthplace of the famous scientist.
The excursion will allow your dog to socialise with other like-minded people and you to meet people who share your passion for animals and outdoor activities. We look forward to seeing you!
What we will do
The appointment is in the morning in Vinci, in the province of Florence. We will be welcomed by an expert guide and a dog trainer. After the usual introductions and a quick briefing on the route, we will set off on our excursion.
We will pass through the town of Vinci, visiting the places frequented by the artist and scientist during his childhood and adolescence. Afterwards, we will leave the town to walk through the beautiful olive groves of Montalbano. We will walk together with our four-legged friend through a fascinating forest of olive trees, holm oaks and other ancient trees.
We will then climb towards Anchiano, where Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace is located, walking along a wooded ridge to admire the majestic monumental holm oak of Faltognano. We will then stop for a snack (not included and to be brought from home).
On the way back, we can then pass by the Mulino della Doccia, mentioned by Leonardo in his Codex Atlanticus, or by Villa del Ferrale. The excursion lasts a total of 4 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.

The excursion is available all year round, subject to weather conditions and guide availability, and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
