Full description
The starry sky above you, snowshoes on your feet. If that's not magic, we don't know what is!
Join an evening snowshoe hike in San Simone, in the heart of the Alta Val Brembana, and walk for more than 3 hours on the snowpack in the company of an environmental hiking guide.
Torch on, off we go!
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before 17: 00 at the meeting point in San Simone, in the municipality of Valleve (BG) . Awaiting us will be our environmental hiking guide, ready to lead us on this evening snowshoe hike!
Once all participants have gathered, we will attend a short briefing and will be given snowshoes and poles (not included and to be paid for on site) . We will set off from an altitude of 1721 metres, passing below the Cima dei Siltri and admiring majestic peaks, including Monte Lemma.
The silence of the alpine nature and woods will envelop us completely, while evening will give way to night, and the moon and stars will appear in the sky. At that point, it will be time to switch on our head torches to continue!
Along the way, there will be no lack of stops during which the guide will tell us interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the Orobie Bergamasche Park. We will finally arrive at the San Simone Pass, reaching an altitude of 2106 metres. From up there, the view of the peaks illuminated by moonlight will be so beautiful that it will take your breath away!
On the way back, for those who wish, it will be possible to stop for dinner at a refuge (not included) . We will finally return to the meeting point after having covered 4 km with 317 m of altitude difference.
The activity will last a total of 3 ½ hours.
