Full description
An exclusive gozzo tour is the perfect way to fully savour the beauty of the Cinque Terre.
Set sail on board a traditional boat with skipper from the port of La Spezia and spend half a day discovering the colourful villages that make this stretch of coastline famous: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
Two swimming stops and an aperitif with typical Ligurian products are planned during the excursion. Choose your travel companions, we'll take care of the rest!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the port of La Spezia, at the time chosen during the booking process. Here we will find our gozzo waiting for us and the skipper who will accompany us on the tour.
We will start along the Gulf towards Le Grazie, a small fishing village of colourful houses, overlooking the Gulf of Poets. We will then reach Porto Venere and sail under the imposing profile of the Church of San Pietro, which dominates this stretch of sea from the top of a rocky spur.
Between the walls of the castle and the Church of San Pietro we will be able to admire Byron's Grotto, so called because it inspired the English poet with one of his famous poems. It is also said that Byron reached the grotto by swimming during his stays in the Cinque Terre.
Once past Porto Venere, navigation will continue along the coast to discover the Cinque Terre. The villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore will enchant us with their colours, giving us postcard shots.
We will also make two stops for swimming: one at Le Rosse bay, which is difficult to access by land, and another at Le Nere bay, which owes its name to surface outcrops of slate. After a lot of swimming, it will be time for anaperitif with Ligurian delicacies: cold cuts, focaccia, rice and vegetable cakes, pesto and a wide choice of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
Finally, we will return to the port of departure. The total duration of the activity will be 4 hours.

The activity is of an easy level and open to all, with no age limit.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The excursion is bookable from mid-April to the end of October, every day.
The boat used for the tour is a 7.5 m long gozzo, equipped with an awning, sundeck, cushions, ladder, bar fridge and emergency equipment.
During the experience, an aperitif (included) will be served with cold cuts, focaccia, rice and vegetable cakes, pesto and a wide selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The menu may vary depending on the season and availability. In case of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers after booking confirmation.
Dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. On request, it is possible to reserve a parking space for a fee: please contact the organisers after booking confirmation.
