Whether you head south or north, one thing is certain: this day on a boat will be the best of your summer!
Experiencean unforgettable sailing tour to discover the wonders of the Salento coastline in the company of an experienced skipper , departing from Castro Marina.
The unique flavours of Apulian tradition will be the icing on the cake. Yes, because an aperitif and lunch are included!
What we will do
The meeting will take place 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Castro (LE).
A small support dinghy will take us to our sailboat, where we will find the skipper waiting for us, ready to set sail north or south, depending on sea conditions.
- Southbound itinerary
If the wind directs us southwards, we will sail along the Salento coast, passing through Castro, Andrano and Tricase Porto, with a swim stop at Marina Serra, in the beautiful Grotta Matrona. This will be followed by a delicious Salento aperitif of friselline with tuna and tomato, peppered mussels, and typical focaccia, accompanied by white wine.
We will then continue sailing through the caves of Marina di Novaglie to Leuca, admiring the 19th-century villas and the Finibus Terrae lighthouse. We will then make another stop for lunch on board, consisting of spaghetti with mussels and clams, fruit, wine, soft drinks and coffee.
- Northbound itinerary
Heading north, we will sail along the Castro caves to Porto Miggiano, where we will stop for a first swim andan aperitif. We will then continue towards Santa Cesarea Terme, the fjord of Porto Badisco and Torre Sant'Emiliano, with a lunch stop near Capo d'Otranto and Orte Bay.
We will then return towards Castro with a leisurely afternoon sail. The aperitif and lunch menus will remain unchanged for both itineraries. The activity will last a total of 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 5 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible for wheelchair users, persons with reduced mobility or pregnant women.
Other information
The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, heading south or north from time to time.
Theboat is a 1957 ketch, 15 metres long, with a teak deck, large sundeck, cushions, en-suite bathroom, galley, outdoor shower, and climbing ladder. It is necessary to remain barefoot on board.
In case of food allergies or intolerances, an alternative menu can be arranged by contacting the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
It is possible to request a snorkelling kit from the organisers in advance.
Small dogs are allowed on board.
Parking spaces are available on site; the meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. A transfer service is available on request.
