Full description
If you love riding and are looking for a ride suited to your level, this is the experience for you. Ride along dirt tracks in the woods and hills around Casciana Terme Lari, in the province of Pisa, and test yourself at different paces, tackling challenging climbs and stretches of stony ground.
The activity consists of a one-hour ride in the countryside, preceded by a short introductory lesson in which you will become familiar with ethological riding, respectful of the horses' well-being. What are you waiting for? Hop on!
What we will do
We will meet at our ranch in Casciana Terme Lari, where instructors and horses will be waiting for us. The ranch houses 16 horses and upon arrival the instructor will assign each one the most suitable animal, based on the weight and height of the participants.
Once we have found our horse, we will clean it, saddle it and break the ice with ground games and cuddles. The first part of the activity will be dedicated to approaching the animals and practical directions for the walk. We will have an introductory lesson of about half an hour to learn what bitless ethological riding is all about and we will try to steer the horse using only the halter and body weight.
Once in the saddle, we will begin our walk. The route will alternate between white roads, meadows of broom and dense woods whose branches we will have to nimbly dodge. We will also face a very steep descent from the top of a hill, from which we will enjoy a beautiful view of the entire Pisan countryside.
During the walk, we will try out different gaits, from galloping over stretches of meadow to pacing on uneven and stony ground.
At the end of our walk, we will return to the ranch. The total duration of the activity will be oneand a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at experienced riders able to ride at a walk, trot and gallop, from the age of 14. The course includes descents, climbs and branches to be dodged.
Pleasenote: the weight limit required for the activity is 110 kg. After receiving your booking confirmation, please contact the organisers to inform them of your height and weight in order to facilitate the allocation of horses.

The walk takes place all year round with different times depending on the season.
There is free parkingon site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
