Winston Churchill said: 'There is not a moment wasted in life if it is spent in the saddle'. If you are reading these words, you surely agree with him.
Join us for a day's riding in Tuscany, among the villages and castles along a stretch of the Via Francigena. Ride until you get tired and recover your energy with a light lunch and a Chianti Classico tasting at a farm.
We assure you that not a minute of this adventure will be wasted!
What we will do
We will meet at an estate 5 km from Siena, 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the activity. You will be welcomed by me, theequestrian instructor who will accompany you on this exclusive horseback riding day.
After getting to know your steed, it will be time to mount up and begin our adventure. I expect you to already know how to ride and to master the walk, trot and gallop, but I will gladly give you a few tips to improve your technique.
We will leave the estate on horseback and ride along the first section of the Via Francigena to the Castello della Chiocciola, topped by a cylindrical tower. We will then ride to Monteriggioni Castle, built between 1214 and 1219; this village with its still intact walls will literally catapult us between the pages of a history book.
After a tour around the castle, we will stop for lunch at a local farm. Here we will sit down for a light lunch (included) with a platter of typical products and a first course, accompanied by a tasting of Chianti Classico wines (2 types).
Once we have recovered our energy, we will get back on our horses and resume our route through the paths and hills of the Montagnola Senese, returning to our starting point.
The activity will last a total of 6 hours, of which 4.5 hours in the saddle.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at people with riding experience, who must be able to master the walk, trot and gallop.
The minimum age for participation is 14 years; minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The maximum weight for participants is 90 kg.
Other information
The activity can be booked all year round and is intended for private groups of up to 4 people, who will be provided with a dedicated riding instructor.
To take outinsurance (included), you must provide the guide with your name and social security number after booking confirmation.

The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.
Saddles for English or American riding are available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
