Are you looking for an authentic nature experience in contact with animals?
The Pollino National Park will be the setting for your falconry experience for a day. This is where a falconer lives and where his birds of prey fly, which you will learn about during the 3½-hour meeting. And yes, you will be able to hold a barn owl, a eagle owl or another of the many species on your glove!
An opportunity to delve into the world of natural falconry, until you fall in love with it.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Civita (CS). To welcome you there will be me, a falconer and environmental excursion guide: what we will experience together will not be a simple falconry experience but a true immersion in the world of birds of prey, learning to know and (above all) to love them!
The activity will begin 30 minutes after your arrival. In the first part of the experience I will give an introductionto the world of birds of prey, a briefing during which I will provide you with useful information that you can learn from the comfort of your seat.
The learning will continue during a walk of about 600 metres on gravel terrain, during which I will delve into the history of birds of prey, enriching it with anecdotes about their biology. All this in the beautiful natural setting of the Pollino National Park, with a view of the Raganello Valley.
Then it will be time for you to meet some birds of prey, including the barn owl, eagle owl, peregrine falcon, buzzard, sacred falcon andgolden eagle. You will be able to admire them on my glove at close range or interact with them by holding them on your glove!
An experience lasting a total of 3½ hours, discovering the naturalistic nuance of the UNESCO art of falconry.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children from 0 to 2 years old can participate free of charge.
Wheelchair users are welcome: a shuttle bus will be available to accompany them along the route due to the unsuitable terrain. Please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to report the presence of a wheelchair user and request support.

The experience takes place from January to December and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
The activity takes place subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion.
The duration of the experience varies depending on the level of participation; the organiser is available to answer all your questions about the world of natural falconry.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; contact us to request a shuttle service.
Dogs are allowed; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to report the presence of a dog. Should your dog cause any problems, you and your owner will be asked to keep a certain distance from the group.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
