Practice a fascinating sport and have fun in the open air with an introductory climbing day.
Learn the basic climbing techniques and take your first steps on the rock together with expert Alpine Guides on the best crags in the Val di Fassa, Trentino.
Surrounded by the peaks of the Dolomites, you will live an unforgettable experience in nature and discover a great new passion!
What we will do
The meeting is set for 8.30 a.m . near Canazei, where we will meet the Alpine Guides and the rest of the group. After a short approach on foot, we will find ourselves in the tranquillity of the most beautiful crags of the Fassa Valley.
The day will be completely dedicated to learning the basic climbing techniques. We will start with a theoretical briefing on the basic concepts of the discipline, and then begin to familiarise ourselves with ropes, harnesses and equipment.
Moving on to the practical part, we will first try climbing on easier pitches, gradually increasing the difficulty if the guides deem it appropriate. Everything will be done safely, with the aim of getting those who have never climbed before to take their first steps on the rock.
During the break, we can have a packed lunch or go to a nearby refuge (lunch is not included in the participation fee). The activity will last about 8 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to everyone, aged 7 and up. No climbing experience is required, just being in good physical condition.
Other information
This activity can be held on Tuesdays from June to September and will be confirmed when there are at least 3 participants, weather permitting.
Groups of at least 3 participants may request to do the activity on any day of the week. Please contact us privately for more information.
The meeting point may vary depending on the spot selected. In this case, you will be notified directly by the guide.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
