Rafting for beginners - Bio Bio descent on the Noce River in Trentino

Would you like to try rafting but don't have much confidence in the water? Do you want to experience an adventure with your children? Then the'Baptism of the Walnut' is just the thing for you!

Fun and ideal for families with children from 6 years of age, this 40-minute descent is the perfect way to approach this wonderful discipline, made up of emotions and contact with nature, in total safety.

It is possible to do this activity from May to September, a period when the river has an ideal flow and guarantees maximum fun. Moreover, if you are satisfied with the experience, you are free to decide whether to continue for another stretch, turning the descent into what is known as the "Rio Claro".

All participants are active participants in guiding the boat with paddles, guided by the precise indications and 'orders' given by the Guide.

What we will do

Having gathered the group at the meeting point, we start with a short 'theory lesson' where the instructors will provide all the explanations regarding riding techniques and safety measures.

Once the lesson is over and the instructors have donned the technical equipment, off we go! We will board special rubber dinghies, called rafts, and descend the river armed with paddles and guided by a certified expert guide who will guarantee the highest level of safety throughout the activity!

We will paddle down the river Noce surrounded by one of the most beautiful sceneries in Trentino. The activity lasts a total of about 1 ½ hours, including preparations. The total sailing time is 40 minutes, during which we will cover about 5 km of river.

Normally, for greater safety, we descend the river with several rubber dinghies at close quarters.

It is not necessary to form a minimum group and it is therefore possible to book individually; the organisation will eventually complete the crews with other participants (min.4, max. 7 participants per raft, plus the Guide).

Who it is aimed at

This activity takes place in the quieter reaches of the Noce and is ideal for families with children (from 6 years of age) and all those who are not very familiar with the water.

This activity is bookable from May to September and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.

Photos of the experience can be purchased if desired, remember to ask the instructor before starting the activity! The cost is 15€ per raft.

Important: You must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the time chosen for the activity!

Recommended clothing

• trainers (to be completely wet) or neoprene socks with soles
• tight-fitting long-sleeved thermal shirt
• swimming costume or tight-fitting shorts
