Rafting is a river sport that involves descending a stream in an inflatable boat, called a raft, which can accommodate about 8 people. Before setting off, crew members conduct a short briefing on how to use the paddles properly. Upon boarding the raft, participants follow the instructions of the experienced guide and work together to overcome natural obstacles along the way.
Rafting is an activity suitable for everyone: there are no real age limits, you just need to be able to swim and be in good shape.
Each river has stretches with different difficulties. There are trails for both beginners and experts who want to try more extreme adventures.
At the most difficult points of the descent, rafting centers offer transfers for the youngest participants.
Those who want to go rafting in Trentino have a wide variety of rivers and streams with different levels of difficulty to choose from.
You can go rafting in Brunico, in the heart of the Puster Valley, along the rapids of the Rienza River or go rafting in Campo Tures along the Aurino stream.
In Südtirol you can also go rafting in Val Senales (Schnalstal) on the Adige River or in the Valle Isarco (Eisack Valley) by descending the river of the same name near Bressanone (Brixen).
The Noce River, in Val di Sole, is the best for those who want to go rafting in Trentino. It is precisely here that the most adventurous decide to challenge its 28 km of rapids.
National Geographic ranks the Noce River in Val di Sole first in Europe and among the top ten in the world for best rafting location.
Specialized centers organize rafting activities on the navigable stretch of the Noce River starting from Ossana, Mezzana and Caldes.
From Ossana, the quieter and less demanding 8 km stretch begin, ideal for families with children. Instead, Mezzana has the most exciting trails, but suitable for adults only. It is in this stretch that we find the famous trip of the world canoe/kayak slalom championships and the adrenaline-pumping gorges of Malè.
Those who want to appreciate every meter of Trentino’s most beautiful river can decide to travel all 28 navigable kilometers of the Noce River.
Everyone can choose the route best suited to their level and go rafting to Dimaro or Ponte Stor, having fun in complete safety together with a rafting guide.
Rafting in Trentino-Alto Adige ranges in price from 28 to 79 euros. The cost depends on the starting location, the length of the route, and the offered services. These services include transportation to/from the river or videos and photos.
Rafting in Trentino-Alto Adige is the perfect gift for any occasion such as a birthday, graduation or bachelor/bachelorette party. A fun day out with friends in the wilderness is always a popular idea.
For all those who want to experience the thrills of rafting for the first time, there are trips that are quieter than the classic ones, but still a lot of fun, that prepare for the more adrenaline-pumping experiences.
These kind of trips are also ideal for children 5 years old and up, who will enjoy jumping into the cool waters of the river at the points where it is calmest.
Under the watchful eye of our guides, even the youngest children will be able to become familiar with the river, discovering how great it is to have fun in nature.

Fairly long descent divided into two moments. Very engaging and not to be taken for granted. A friend of mine flew out of the dinghy but following the guide's directions we managed to get him back in. The availability of services at the centre was good. The guide very nice and assertive.

Wonderful and exciting experience. We started out with some fears, but the explanations given and the helpfulness of all the staff were really excellent and reassuring. The descent was then truly enthralling, in total safety, and our guide, Rodrigo, was not only highly professional but also very entertaining, motivating and engaging. This definitely made our descent even more enjoyable. I then had a booking problem, not the fault of Freedome or the activity organisers, and both Freedome and then directly the staff on site were very helpful and very professional. The equipment is also very comfortable and well organised. I really recommend it to everyone.
