Full description
A hot-air balloon flight is a unique experience, and if the journey is over the wonderful city of Siena and the Crete Senesi, the magic doubles! You will be carried away by the wind as you admire a marvellous view of the city and the countryside as it slowly awakens under the first light of dawn.
You will admire the world from above as you look out of the basket during the approximately 1-hour flight in total safety and tranquillity in the company of experienced pilots.
Toast this special occasion with a glass of prosecco and snacks that you will find on a table set at the landing site. Get ready to put a tick on the list of "100 things to do at least once in your life"!
What we will do
We will meet you at the take-off point near Siena, at the time we will notify you before departure. We will welcome you and accompany you to the hot-air balloon and, with the first light ofdawn, we will start inflating the balloon.
When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you some instructions on how to enjoy the experience safely, and then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.
Once we are up in the air, the wind will choose the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable. Depending on the winds, we will be able to admire from above the highly original shape of Piazza del Campo, the elegant and slender Torre del Mangia, the city's contrade and all the palaces that make Siena the medieval city par excellence.
Moving away from Siena, we can admire the Crete Senesi, a lunar landscape with hills and depressions. Looking out from the basket we will see small villages, isolated farmhouses and long rows of cypress trees.
After about one hour of flight, it will be time to land. At the landing point you will find a table laid with a bottle of prosecco to toast the experience you have just had and some snacks.
Finally, we will take you back in a shared car to the take-off point, where you will have left your car, while the crew takes care of deflating the balloon. The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments will be 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.
For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems, and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.
Other information
The flight takes place all year round, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.
Thetake-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. On the day before the activity, you will receive confirmation of the time and place from the pilot.
The flight is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
It is possible to carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not permitted, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.
A maximum of five people can be booked to ensure activity on the same balloon.
Animals are not allowed on board the balloon.
