Enjoy a hot-air balloon flight in Apulia and admire from above the architectural jewel of Castel del Monte, the imposing medieval fortress that rises among the green hills on the Murgia plateau.
You will be carried by the wind and enjoy this marvel from above, observing its octagonal shape from the best of perspectives.

What we will do
We will meet near Andria (BT). The flight will take place at sunrise or sunset, when temperatures and currents are most favourable (the pilot will notify us a few days before the activity, confirming the address and meeting time).
The experience will begin from the very first stages of preparing the hot-air balloon, when we will witness the ignition of the burner and the great blaze that inflates the balloon. Then we will have a briefing on behaviour and safety rules and finally settle into the wicker basket, ready for take-off.
The hot air balloon will fly following the direction of the wind. From the basket, we will enjoy a wide view of the landscape characterised by hills covered with dense vegetation. Amidst the greenery, Castel del Monte will appear to us in all its grandeur. This grandiose medieval fortress, ordered by Frederick II of Swabia and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is shrouded in mystery and is one of the most visited sites in Italy.
The scenic journey will last between 40 and 60 minutes and will end with a soft landing, but not before making a toast at high altitude! Back on the ground, the staff will hand us ourflight certificates and take us back to the initial meeting point.
In all, between transfers, preparation and flight, the activity will last about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Hot air ballooning is an activity for everyone. Anyone in good psycho-physical condition, aged 8 and above, and with aminimum height of 130 cm can fly. The only restrictions are for pregnant women, those suffering from cardio-respiratory diseases, and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs.

This activity can be booked all year round, subject to weather and wind conditions, and is confirmed when there are at least three participants.
Hot-air ballooning is an activity closely linked to wind conditions, which can change abruptly. The pilot will only fly in conditions that can guarantee maximum safety.
A few days before the planned date of the activity, the pilot will confirm the meeting time and address, which will be decided according to the latest weather report.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
