Group hot air balloon ride in Todi over the Umbrian hills

Admiring the 'Pearl of Umbria' from above is an experience to be had at least once in a lifetime. Let yourself be carried away by the magic of a hot-air balloon flight in Todi, flying over the rolling Umbrian hills at dawn.

During the approximately one-hour flight you will be able to observe from this exciting perspective the buildings of the medieval town of Todi, built on a hill overlooking the Tiber river and the villages in the valley. You will enjoy the panorama in total safety and tranquillity in the company of experienced pilots.

Coming back down to earth won't be so bad, because after the flight a toast with prosecco and snacks awaits you. Cheers to the beauty of Umbria's landscapes!

What we will do

We will meet at the take-off point in Todi, at the time we will notify you before departure. You will be able to watch the balloon inflate while the sky is tinged with the colours of dawn. It will be a magical moment in which to foretaste the beauty of flight!

When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you some pointers on how to enjoy the experience safely and then we will enter the wicker basket of the balloon one by one. Slowly the balloon will lift off the ground and the landscape around us will begin to change. The wind will decide the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable.

Depending on the winds, we will be able to admire from above the most famous buildings in Todi, such as the Palazzo del Popolo, the Palazzo dei Priori and the Duomo, overlooking the main square. We will be able to spot the bell tower of the church of San Fortunato and the iconic domes of the Tempio della Consolazione, one of the buildings that symbolise Renaissance architecture.

The surrounding hills will offer us the spectacle of a thousand different brushstrokes of colour, like an Impressionist painter's canvas: a scenery that will change with the seasons, among fields, stone farmhouses and country lanes.

The flight will last about an hour, but the excitement does not end there. At the landing point you will in fact find a table laid with a bottle of prosecco to toast the experience you have just had and some snacks.

Finally, we will take you back in a shared car to the take-off point, where you will have left your car, while the crew takes care of deflating the balloon. The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments, will be 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.

For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.

Other information

The flight takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the year, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.

The flight is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

Thetake-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. On the day before the activity, you will receive confirmation of the time and meeting place from the pilot.

It is possible to carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not allowed, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.

A maximum of 5 people can be booked to ensure activity on the same balloon. If your group consists of 6 or more people, please contact us in private: we will do our best to meet your needs!

Animals are not allowed on board the balloon.
