The 'green heart of Italy' awaits you for an exciting hot-air balloon flight with a view of the Monti Martani, the mountain range that crossesUmbria from north to south.
The take-off will be from Assisi or Montefalco (PG), depending on the most favourable point chosen by the pilot at the start. During the approximately one-hour flight, you will be able to admire the gentle Umbrian reliefs dotted with meadows, fields, farmhouses, vineyards, forests and medieval villages: a spectacle that will change depending on the direction of the wind.
To conclude this dream experience, a toast with prosecco and snacks will not be missing. Get ready for your journey through the sky!
What we will do
We will meet at the take-off point near Assisi or Montefalco (PG), at the time and place we will inform you of before departure. We will welcome you and accompany you to the hot air balloon to watch it inflate in the magical light of dawn.
When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you some pointers on how to enjoy the experience safely, and then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.
We will finally get off the ground and begin to savour the beauty of the Umbrian landscape, with the profile of the Martani Mountains in the distance. The wind will decide the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable.
Depending on the take-off point and the direction of the wind, we will be able to admire different scenery around us: from the beautiful villages of Assisi and Montefalco, with their streets, squares and churches, to the vineyard-covered hills of the Sagrantino area. The ridge of the Martani Mountains will embrace us with its wooded and verdant panoramas.
After about an hour's flight, we will prepare forlanding. Once we step out of the hot-air balloon, we will find refreshments awaiting us, including a bottle of prosecco and snacks, to worthily crown the magic of our aerial adventure.
Finally, you will be driven back to the starting point in a shared car, while the crew will take care of deflating the balloon. The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments, will be 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.
For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.
Other information
The flight takes place every Saturday of the year, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.
The flight is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Thetake-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. On the day before the activity, you will receive confirmation of the time and meeting place from the pilot.
It is possible to carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not allowed, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.
A maximum of 5 people can be booked to ensure activity on the same balloon. If your group consists of 6 or more people, please contact us in private: we will do our best to meet your needs!
Animals are not allowed on board the balloon.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
