Are you ready to climb into the saddle and leave your diet behind?
With our half-day equestrian adventure your palate will be tested as much as your riding skills!
From Pianoro, a few kilometres from Bologna, you will ride along wooded trails towards the Le Ginestre farm of the legendary Beniamino Baleotti. Here you will have the chance to try a delicious lunch before getting back in the saddle and continuing your ride through the countryside.

What we will do
We will meet on Sundays at 11 a.m. at the ranch in Pianoro, in the province of Bologna. Here you will have the opportunity to meet your noble four-legged companion.
After a briefing with the guide to prepare the horses and make you comfortable in the saddle, we will set off to discover the hills of Bologna.
We will ride immersed in nature along the paths that branch off through the Savena Valley. We will admire the beautiful landscapes of Pianoro and, with a bit of luck, even catch a glimpse of wildlife.
After about an hour's ride, we will reach around 12.15/12.30 p.m. the Le Ginestre farmhouse of RAI 2 chef Beniamino Baleotti, who will welcome us for a typical lunch of tigelle, cured meats and traditional Emilian dishes (lunch included in the fee).
After this refreshing break, we will climb back into the saddle to continue our ride. We will ride for another hour along wooded paths down to the valley floor. At the end of this time and some souvenir photos, we will return to the ranch around 15:00/15:30 to say goodbye.
Between the briefing, horseback ride and lunch break, the experience lasts a total of about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from 14 years of age.
A minimum of experience on horseback and the ability to manage the various gaits independently are required.
Other information
The activity can be booked on Sundays from March to December.
The meeting place cannot be reached by public transport.
The lunch menu at the Le Ginestre agriturismo is based on typical Bolognese dishes and may vary depending on the season. In the event of allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements, please notify the organiser in advance (contact details will be sent by e-mail with the booking confirmation).
