Full description
Nature and history: these are the two main features of our trekking experience in Vinci.
Together with an experienced guide, you will visit the birthplace of Leonardo Da Vinci and the places he frequented during his childhood. You will pass through a forest with olive trees, holm oaks and other ancient trees, and you will take a break before resuming your walk and returning to your starting point.
This experience will immerse you in a fascinating territory and introduce you to the most interesting aspects of the life of the famous Italian artist and scientist. What are you waiting for to book?
What we will do
The appointment is in Vinci, in the province of Florence. We will be welcomed on arrival by an environmental excursion guide. After a quick briefing on the route, the excursion will begin.
We will pass through the town of Vinci, visiting the places frequented by the artist during his childhood. We will then leave the town to enter a forest of olive trees, holm oaks and centuries-old trees that will leave us speechless.
We will then continue along a wooded ridge to admire the majestic monumental holm oak of Faltognano and ascend towards Anchiano, where Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace is located.
On the way back, we can pass by the Mulino della Doccia, mentioned by Leonardo in the Atlantic Codex, or by Villa del Ferrale. The excursion lasts a total of 4 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.

The hike is simple and suitable for everyone over the age of 8.

The activity can be booked throughout the year on week ends (Saturdays and Sundays) and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
