In Sicily there is not only the sea.
All right, we knew that. But we want to give you one more reason not to underestimate the Sicilian hinterland. And we do this with our horseback ride to Acquaficara: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride in a beautiful hilly setting with a unique panoramic view of the Aeolian Islands!
And if you select the 2-hour option, you will also have the opportunity to ride through characteristic Sicilian villages in the saddle!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Acquaficara, a hamlet in the municipality of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, we will proceed with the assignment of the steed. We will saddle up, learn the basics of horseback riding and take a few trial rides in the field; the guide will provide all the information needed for a carefree experience. This will last approximately 10 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the hills, in a beautiful natural setting between woodland and open countryside; if the 2-hour option is selected, we will also ride through the village of Castroreale or Rodì Milici. And from our exclusive position, we will reach a vantage point with a view of the sea and the Aeolian Islands! The guide will lead the group on horseback, with longhorns as required by the participants.
We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 1 hour or 2 hours depending on the option selected.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.
Other information
The experience takes place throughout the year.
Bags and backpacks are not allowed. Personal items may be carried in saddlebags for the participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
