Umbria as you have never visited it: on horseback!
Take part in our horseback ride in the natural setting of Orvieto: you will ride together with an equestrian guide through vineyards, olive groves and woods. You will follow an itinerary designated for the occasion, until you see the characteristic village of Porano on the horizon.
An experience lasting a total of 3 hours, discovering Umbrian nature.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Orvieto (TR), at La Cacciata. You will be welcomed by an equestrian guide and his beloved horses!
You will then climb into the saddle and be given the basics of horse riding. Before setting off, you will take a short test ride in the riding club to get familiar with the animal and the movements in the saddle.
Once ready, we will all mount our horses and embark on a trail through vineyards and olive groves, until we plunge into the forest. We will ride at pace in the beautiful natural surroundings of Orvieto, entering the Porano area; along the way we will also be able to catch a glimpse of the characteristic village on the horizon. The walk will mainly take place on dirt roads, with short asphalt stretches only at crossings.
At the end of the approximately 9 km loop, we will return to the starting point. The horseback ride will last approximately 2 ½ hours, for a total experience of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 14-year-olds; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or present signed authorisation from both parents.
The maximum weight to participate in this activity is 100 kg.
This activity is of medium level because it requires a minimum of physical effort; the route is easy and also suitable for a first horse ride.

The experience takes place from January to December , weather permitting at the organiser's discretion.
The duration of the experience may vary depending on the number and experience of the participants.
There is free parking on site.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
In order to take out theinsurance, it is compulsory to send the following details before the date of the experience to the contact details indicated in the booking confirmation e-mail: first name, surname, date of birth, place of birth, residence and tax code of each participant. The insurance is valid for 1 year and will allow you to return to the equestrian club at your leisure.
Any accompanying persons may remain at the equestrian centre.
Any dogs are allowed at the equestrian club if they are on a leash for accompanying persons.
Photos taken during the experience by the equestrian guide will be shared with participants via smartphone or e-mail.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
