Add a touch of magic to your holiday in Sardinia!
Saddle up and ride into the sunset on the beach of Porto Ferro, near Alghero. Breathe in the cool sea breeze as you ride along the beach together with our environmental equestrian guide, amidst the lapping of the waves and the colours of the sky.
An experience of over 1 hour, which will taste like a Sardinian enchantment!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Sassari. On site we will meet the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, we will proceed with the assignment of the horse. We will then mount the saddle and learn the basics of horse riding; the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience. This part lasts approximately 10 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will begin our route through a lush pine forest, enveloped by the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. We will reach the sand dunes near the sea and continue to the Porto Ferro beach, which we will admire at sunset time. In high season we will be able to enter the beach keeping a certain distance from the water, while during the rest of the year it will be possible to ride more freely close to the shoreline.
After experiencing the thrill of riding on the beach, we will turn back towards Lake Baratz and ride one last stretch along the shoreline. We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience lasts a total of 1½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the meeting point by an adult.
A maximum weight of 89 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride. The guide accompanies on foot, holding the animal with a lunge. The walk takes place at a walking pace.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. A transfer service to/from Alghero is available at a cost of €50. 00 per group for 1-3 people; contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for more information and to request the service.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
