Not only Duomo and Ponte Vecchio: Florence hides little-known green jewels!
Among them, the Parco di Travalle is a rare gem set in the rolling Tuscan hills, just a breath away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is here that we invite you to join us for a memorable horseback ride, perfect even for those climbing into the saddle for the first time.
But the experience doesn't end there. When you return from your excursion, we will welcome you with a special aperitif: an assortment of cold meats and local cheeses, accompanied by Chianti wine, to end your horseback riding adventure in Tuscany on a high note.
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school in Calenzano, in the province of Florence, at least 10 minutes before the time selected when booking. On arrival, the equestrian guide will welcome us and introduce us to the magnificent, docile horses.
If this is our first experience on horseback, we will dedicate the first 10 minutes to learning the basics: how to start and stop the horse, how to maintain control in the saddle and how to communicate with him.
We will then leave the stables and ride together with the equestrian guide through Travalle Park. We will cross around 5 km of idyllic flat country paths, letting ourselves be guided at the leisurely pace of our horses.
As we progress, the panorama will open up to ever-changing scenery: the classic landscape of the Tuscan hills, dotted with vineyards and olive groves, will alternate with vast fields and rows of cypresses dotting the horizon.
After about 1 hour of horseback riding, we will return to the stables to enjoy a delicious aperitif (included). A platter of local cheeses and cold cuts and a glass of Chianti wine will be waiting for us.
Between briefing, walk and aperitif, the experience lasts a total of about one and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied by an adult in the riding hall.
No previous horse ridingexperience is required to participate.
Other information
The activity can take place all year round. There is no minimum number of participants required to confirm the activity.
The mount used is the American mount.
