What do we have in common with the Etruscans? Horses and wine.
And both are the main ingredients of our horseback ride and tasting in Campiglia Marittima: in the company of an instructor, you will venture along a scenic route with views of medieval villages, castles and the sea. And along the way you will stop at a winery for a tasting of local wines.
An experience of over 1 hour, riding (and toasting) like the Etruscans!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Campiglia Marittima (LI). We will be welcomed by theriding instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, we will proceed with the assignment of the steed. Afterwards, we will enter the field, mount the saddle and learn the basics of horse riding; the instructor will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: after a short stretch on asphalt, we will enter the forest along paths and white roads. Along the way we will enjoy panoramic views of the medieval village of Campiglia Marittima, the sea and, if the sky is particularly clear, as far as the island of Elba and Corsica! The instructor will lead the group on horseback and the walk will take place at a walking pace (with a hint of trotting, if agreed with the instructor).
We will then reach the winery that will host us for the wine tasting. We will then dismount from our horses, tie our steed to the fence and begin this (second) adventure: we will visit the wine cellar and taste two glasses of wine accompanied by a small mixed board. This moment will last about 30 minutes.
With full hearts and stomachs, we will get back on our horses to return to the meeting point. The experience will last approximately 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 18.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

Dogs are allowed and will remain in the stable during the experience.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
