Experience a 5-hour ride that combines the charm of a horseback ride in nature with traditional local delicacies.
Come to Pratovecchio, in the province of Arezzo, and join us for a horseback ride through the rolling hills of Casentino. Halfway through, stop at the renowned Cantina Pergentina for a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by local products.

What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school in Pratovecchio, in the province of Arezzo. On arrival, the equestrian guide will welcome us and take us to meet the splendid horses of the riding school, already saddled and ready to go out for a ride.
Before setting off, the guide will introduce us to the basic techniques for handling the horse with a 15-20 minute briefing inside the riding school on how to brake and set off safely.
We will leave the riding school to immerse ourselves in the Casentino landscape, among chestnut and silver fir forests that are home to roe deer, red deer, fallow deer and hares. These majestic firs, which can reach extraordinary heights, not only contribute to the rich ecosystem but also create analmost fairytale-like atmosphere.
After about a 2-hour walk, we will reach the Pergentina Winery in the village of Poppi. The tasting, lasting about 1 hour, will include 3 different wines including Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Merlot and Manzoni Bianco, and will be accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and other typical Casentino products.
We will then set off on our return journey, also lasting about 2 hours , along a route that will take us along ancient dirt roads and fir woods towards the evocative Poppi Castle at the foot of Pratomagno.
Between briefings, horse riding and tasting, the experience lasts a total of about 5 hours and ends with the return to the stables.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from the age of 18. A maximum weight of 95 kg is required to participate in this activity.
The experience is of medium level and suitable for those who have had previous horse riding experience.

The activity can be booked all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
The riding is English-style.
The meeting place cannot be reached by public transport.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
