This experience smells of Tuscany.
Take part in our horseback ride in the province of Florence: together with an equestrian guide, you will venture into nature among fragrant olive groves and vineyards. You will then reach a winery, which will host us for a cellar visit and wine tasting.
An experience of over 3 hours, discovering the region in (and with) all the senses!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pelago (FI). Awaiting us will be theequestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, we will proceed with riding andlearning the basics of horse riding. The guide will provide us with all the information we need for a carefree experience. This moment will last approximately 15 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into a beautiful natural setting, riding through scenic olive groves and vineyards. Along the way, we will admire the Nipozzano Castle, the vineyards of the Frescobaldi estate, and the Altomena Valley. After about 1 hour, we will reach the winery that will host us for a guided tour and wine tasting.
In the company of a guide, we will discover the history of the winery as well as the wine culture of the area. We will visit the production rooms and learn more about vinification in steel, discovering the process from harvesting to bottling. We will then walk through the scenic barrel cellar, where the wine is aged and the Vin Santo rests. Finally, we will admire the historic bottles that have been resting since. 1982!
This will be followed by a wine tasting during which 4 glasses of wine will be served, including Spumante Brut Rosé, Gavignano Bianco Toscana IGT, Chianti Rufina DOCG and Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG, accompanied by bread dressed with home-produced olive oil. If the"with typical products" option is selected, schiacciata, Tuscan pecorino cheese, salame finocchiona and other local delicacies will be served.
At the end of the visit, we will get back in the saddle and return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 2 hours; the experience will last a total of 3 ½ hours.
