Enjoy a private horse ride with lunch included in the tranquillity of the hills around Florence, an oasis of peace, tranquillity and fine dining. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside and stop to savour the local cuisine and excellent wine.
The horse ride will take place in the Chianti hills, amongst lush vineyards, olive groves and historic residences. Your equestrian guide will lead you along a truly picturesque route, and when your appetite is just right, you’ll treat your taste buds to a meal at a traditional Tuscan trattoria or wine bar.
It will be a completely relaxing experience, allowing you to escape the hectic pace of everyday life for half a day and explore a timeless world. And if you’ve never been on a horse before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go!
What we will do
Please arrive 15 minutes before the selected time at the agreed meeting point. If you have not requested the transfer service, we will meet the guide at the riding school in the province of Florence; if you have requested the transfer service, we will meet the guide in the centre of Florence and then travel to the riding school.
Once at the riding centre and after collecting our equipment, we’ll mount up and learn the basics of horse riding. The guide will be sure to provide all the information you need to ensure a worry-free experience. This initial session will last approximately 10 minutes.
The ride will proceed at a leisurely pace (more experienced riders may enjoy a few stretches at a gallop) and will follow a beautiful route through the Florentine hills and countryside, amongst orchards, vineyards and olive groves. We’ll ride past historic residences and prestigious country estates, passing through the area where the highly prized Chianti is produced – a wine of exceptional quality exported all over the world.
After about an hour’s ride, we’ll return to the riding centre, say goodbye to the horses and head to a nearby shop or wine bar, where an excellent lunch (included) will be waiting for us, featuring a first course of your choice, a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, a local dessert of your choice and a glass of Chianti from a historic local winery.
The activity lasts approximately 5 hours. After lunch, we’ll have a chance to relax for a while longer, before saying goodbye until our next excursion.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level, is suitable for everyone and no horse riding experience is needed. The minimum age to participate is 14.

The experience takes place all year round. The experience could also take place in the rain at the guide's discretion; waterproof coats will be provided. The experience is also available in the afternoon with departure at 3.30 pm and dinner included; programme and price unchanged.
It is possible to leave from the centre of Florence by taking advantage of the transfer service for a fee or go directly to the riding school located in the province of Florence. Contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request the transfer service from the centre of Florence or ask for the address of the riding school in the province of Florence. The riding school has free parking and cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
