Full description
The Versilia area has always attracted visitors for its beaches and sea and you, thanks to our horseback riding day, will have the opportunity to visit it in all its splendour.
In the saddle of a docile and affectionate animal, you will move along the coast, even walking on the beach. If the sea is not too cold, you will also be able to get into the water with the horse and take a refreshing swim.
Have you always dreamt of riding on the sand? Then this is the perfect experience for you!
What we will do
The appointment is in Massarosa, in the province of Lucca.
After the welcome, I will take you to get to know your horse and we will go over the main commands. If you already have good riding experience, you will be able to try out different gaits during the ride, perhaps trying your hand at trotting and galloping.
From Massarosa we will ride towards the sea through the pine forest of San Rossore and Massaciuccoli. We will reach Marina di Vecchiano and ride directly to the beaches of Versilia, kissed by a sea that seems to melt into the sky at the end of the horizon. If conditions permit, we may even enter the water with the horse and take a swim.
After about two hours we will arrive in Marina di Torre del Lago. Here we will stop for a couple of hours to eat at a local restaurant or eat a packed lunch brought from home (lunch not included, at the participants' discretion).
After the break, we will take the road back to Massarosa, covering a total of around 35 km . The excursion will last a total of 8 hours, at least 6 of which will be spent in the saddle.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for those who already have some riding experience, e.g. have taken a few lessons or have already done other rides.
The minimum age for participation is 14; minors need not be accompanied by a parent.
Other information
The activity is available from October to April and is aimed at private groups of up to 10 participants.
Riding is American style unless otherwise requested.
Lunch is not included in the fee. In agreement with the guide, participants may decide to bring a packed lunch from home or to have lunch at a restaurant in Marina di Torre del Lago.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
