Full description
Spend a few relaxing hours riding a sweet animal that will make you forget the stress and daily routine for a while.
You can enjoy a horseback ride through the beautiful Umbrian landscape and admire a wonderful view of Lake Trasimeno from above.
If you are already a skilled horseman, this experience will not disappoint you: you will also be able to try your hand at trotting and galloping along the way.
What we will do
We will meet in Panicale at the time selected when booking. Here we will meet our equestrian guide and the Bardigiano horse that will accompany us on this walk.
We will first start brushing and preparing our horse for the hike. When we are all ready, we will mount the saddle and the tour through the beautiful landscape of Panicale will begin.
On the way, we will ride into the forest where we will be flanked by small lakes and a stream. Riding through the hills, among vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, we will be able to admire the typical Umbrian landscapes from above. In particular, we will reach the Mongiovino Castle, which boasts a unique position to enjoy the breathtaking panorama.
At some points we will also be able to admire the majesty of Lake Trasimeno and catch a glimpse of Perugia from afar.
We will then return to the stables, where we will say goodbye to our new faithful friends until the next adventure.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at regular riders who have experience in all gaits (including trotting and galloping).
The minimum age to participate in the excursion is 14 years. The maximum weight for participation in the excursion is 100 kg.
Other information
When booking, you can select the duration of the ride: 1 hour, 1½ hours or 2 hours. Prior to each walk, an additional 40 minutes of preparation and cleaning of the horses must always be considered.
The activity takes place every day, except Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Important: the guide will contact you a day or two before the activity to collect some necessary data.
The price always includes the fee forcompulsory insurance (5€).
