If you are looking for relaxation, fun and contact with the environment, you cannot miss anexcursion on horseback to discover the suggestive landscapes of the Menotre Valley in Umbria.
Experience the emotions of equestrian tourism together with an expert guide and connect with an extraordinary animal like the horse, ready to give you anexciting experience.
Don't worry if you have never climbed into the saddle: the instructor will guide you in your first approach to horse riding. If, on the other hand, you already have experience, get ready to ride freely in nature!
And at the end, everyone comes to the table to finish with a tasty lunch or aperitif based on typical Umbrian products.
What we will do
The rendezvous is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ponte Santa Lucia (PG), at a beautiful riding stables in the green Umbrian Apennines. The guide will welcome us and familiarise us with the horses.
Depending on the average level of the group, we will have a briefing on riding techniques, which will only be a brief review in the case of experienced riders, while for novices it will last a little longer and will be a real introductory riding lesson.
When we are ready, we will begin our excursion along one of the many trails that wind through the Menotre Valley. We will ride on dirt roads and on forest and country paths, following the guide who will tell us anecdotes and curiosities about the area.
There will be no lack of pauses at the most suggestive spots to admire the panorama and take a few photos. After about two hours of walking, we will return to the stables, where a lunch (or an aperitif, if we do the excursion in the afternoon) based on typical Umbrian zero-kilometre products will be waiting for us.
In total, the activity will last about 3. 5 hours, including briefing, walk and lunch.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is intended for participants with previous experience on horseback, aged 15 years and over (also younger if in possession of a riding licence or certificate) . Beginners wishing to participate must familiarise themselves with the horse in the stables before the start of the excursion and will be accompanied by a guide on foot throughout the activity.
To participate in this experience, the maximum weight limit is 90 kg.
Other information
This activity is available from March to November and is reserved for private groups of a maximum of 3 participants.
Lunch will include an appetiser, first course, main course, side dish and water, while the aperitif includes a glass of wine and some snacks.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there is free parking on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
