Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Sant’Antioco Lagoon with a picturesque horse ride along Sardinia’s unspoilt coastline.
You’ll ride through a nature reserve covering almost 700 hectares until you reach the sea. From the saddle, you’ll experience the thrill of riding through the water, amidst the spray and the sea breeze.
Every moment of this roughly 3-hour experience will take your breath away and allow you to forge a special bond with a sensitive, empathetic and incredibly intelligent animal!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the selected time at the meeting point in San Giovanni Suergiu (SU). Once there, we’ll meet the guide who’ll be accompanying us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered and the equipment has been handed out, we’ll proceed with the allocation of horses. We’ll then mount up, learn the basics of horse riding and all the information needed to ensure a worry-free experience. This part lasts approximately 1 hour.
And here we are, ready for our horse ride: we’ll set off on a circular route of about 10 km that will first take us to the spectacular Sant’Antioco Lagoon, where we’ll experience riding through the water, amidst the splashes and the sea breeze. We’ll then venture into a reed bed that runs through a wetland area of the oasis, and, weather permitting, we’ll even wade across a small river.
The ride will continue amidst the intense scents of a eucalyptus forest until we reach ancient Campidanese villages – authentic hidden gems that will allow us to discover a Sardinia far removed from the more popular tourist destinations.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point. The horse ride lasts approximately 2 hours; the whole experience lasts approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for those aged 14 and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by their parents.
To take part, you must be at least 120 cm tall and weigh no more than 85 kg.
The experience is easy and ideal as a first horse ride.

The experience runs all year round and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
