Full description
Imagine the thrill of riding on the seashore among salt marshes, flocks of pink flamingos and unspoilt landscapes. This two-hour horseback ride among the salt pans of Sant'Antioco will take you to discover a Site of Community Importance (SCI) in south-west Sardinia.
Riding your horse you will cover a loop circuit of about 13 km mostly on the beach, admiring the islands of Sant'Antioco and San Pietro, among white salt mountains and rich Mediterranean vegetation. It will be a dream excursion!
What we will do
We will meet at our riding school in San Giovanni Suergiu (SU ) at the time chosen for the activity. Here we will be assigned the most suitable horse according to our level of experience and we will get on the saddle to begin the ride.
Leaving the stables, we will ride towards the sea through the countryside, among almond groves, eucalyptus trees and Mediterranean scrub, until we reach the Saline di Sant'Antioco. This wetland is a Site of Community Importance (SCI) in Sardinia, protected for its incredible biodiversity.
We will ride along tongues of land and water along the Gulf of Palmas, amid glittering mountains of sea salt, enjoying the surreal view of theIsland of Sant'Antioco, theBull and Cow Island to the south, theIsland of San Pietro with Carloforte to the north, and the entire Sulcis area. The more experienced can also embark on a few stretches of galloping on the beach.
During our walk we will be able to spot pink flamingos, white herons, black-winged stilts and marsh harriers, the extraordinary specimens that inhabit these areas.
We will return to the riding school after completing a loop circuit of approximately 13 km. The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, from the age of 13 and with a maximum weight limit of 95 kg. No horse riding experience is necessary.
Signed parental consent is required for minors.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
