Full description
Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Sulcis! The wildest and most beautiful Sardinia awaits you for a beautiful ride.
Starting from the small hamlet of Matzaccara, near San Giovanni Suergiu, you will explore the area on horseback in the company of an experienced instructor.
The experience, also suitable for beginners, will take you on a discovery of the surrounding nature. Explore south-western Sardinia in a completely original way. We look forward to seeing you at the stables!
What we will do
We will meet at the riding school in Matzaccara, a small hamlet of San Giovanni Suergiu in southern Sardinia. Here we will be welcomed by the guide, who will conduct a briefing of about 30 minutes to teach the basics of horse riding and the main techniques of horse handling.
We will try riding inside the ranch under the watchful eye of the instructor and then go outside and begin the actual ride.
We will ride for about an hour along a loop trail through the Mediterranean bush. We will also be able to admire the islets of Sant'Antioco and Carloforte, which embellish the coastline with their marvellous profiles.
The guide will accompany us on horseback along the route, to ensure our safety and to tell us some curiosities about these extraordinary places.
Finally, we will return to the stables. The activity lasts a total of about 1½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
Suitable for everyone over the age of 14. No horse riding experience is required.
The weight limit is 100 kg.
Other information
Both mounts, American and English, are available.
The pace will be at walking pace, accompanied by one or more walking guides.
The experience can be booked all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
