Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Sulcis! The wildest and most beautiful Sardinia awaits you for a beautiful ride.
Starting from the small hamlet of Matzaccara, near San Giovanni Suergiu, you will explore the area on horseback in the company of an experienced instructor.
The experience, also suitable for beginners, will take you on a discovery of the surrounding nature. Explore south-western Sardinia in a completely original way. We look forward to seeing you at the stables!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the riding school in Matzaccara, a small hamlet of San Giovanni Suergiu in southern Sardinia. Here, the guide will welcome us and hold a briefing of around 30 minutes to teach the basics of horse riding and the main techniques for handling a horse.
We’ll have a go at riding inside the ranch under the instructor’s watchful eye, before heading outside to begin the actual ride.
We’ll ride for about an hour along a circular route set amidst the Mediterranean scrub. We’ll also be able to admire the islets of Sant’Antioco and Carloforte, which grace the coastline with their stunning silhouettes.
The guide will accompany us on horseback along the route, to ensure our safety and to share some interesting facts about these extraordinary places. The horse ride lasts approximately one and a half hours.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point, where an aperitif will be waiting for us: an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink accompanied by savoury snacks. The experience lasts a total of approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Suitable for everyone over the age of 14. No horse riding experience is required.
The weight limit is 100 kg.
Other information
Both types of mount are available: American-style and English-style.
The ride will be at a walking pace, accompanied by one or more guides on foot.
The experience can be booked all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of two participants has been reached.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
