Full description
Treat yourself to a one-and-a-half-hour horseback ride among the gentle hillsides of Monferrato, an area so fascinating and unique that it has been included in the list of Unesco heritage sites.
You will have an equestrian guide at your disposal who will accompany you along a 7-8 km route on dirt tracks. As you ride, you will immerse yourself in a wonderful landscape, with ascents and descents, hills and viewpoints near the Valmanera forest.
The ride is suitable for experienced riders who will be able to test themselves with different gaits along the way. Get in the saddle!
What we will do
We will meet at our ranch in Castell'Alfero (AT) at the time chosen for the walk. After the welcome, I will assign you the horse best suited to you for the walk and we will begin with some exercises in the field to familiarise you with our animals and with English riding.
At the end of this first part, which will last about 10 minutes, we will leave the ranch and start the trail through a series of dirt tracks. We will ride our horse along a route that is approximately 7-8 km long.
As an equestrian guide, I will lead the group, adjusting the pace of the walk to the level of the participants. I will lead the way along a route with ascents and descents, which will allow us to immerse ourselves in a wonderful panorama and to observe the view of the hills from the top of our horse.
We will ride along the Valmanera forest, a small green lung of 10 hectares protected by the WWF and characterised by majestic trees such as oaks, field maples, chestnut trees and wild cherry trees. The route is very pleasant and shady and can be hiked all year round, even in summer.
Depending on how experienced or inexperienced you are on horseback, you can try out different gaits, for example trotting. After an hour and a half ride, we return to the ranch.
The total duration of the activity, including reception, field lesson and horse ride, is approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is aimed at participants with some familiarity with horses, aged 14 and over. At least the ability to trot and a weight not exceeding 90 kg is required.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, weather permitting.
It is requested that you arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the lesson for the reception and allocation of horses.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
