Horseback riding in Verona along the Adige River

Beyond the centre there is more: explore the natural surroundings of the city of Verona!

Take part in our horseback ride: venture into the saddle in the company of an equestrian guide, following the course of the river Adige until you reach a small beach. And cross the historic Chievo Dam, which watches over the city.

A two-hour experience that you can crown with a tasting of local products.

What we will do

I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Verona (VR). I, your equestrian guide, will welcome you at the riding stables!

After the welcome, I will accompany you to my horses. I will help you get on the saddle with an American mount and, during a briefing, I will provide you with all the information you need to ride the animal without any worries.

Ready for our horseback ride, we will ride along thetowpath of the Adige River until we reach a small beach where we can try to enter the river by getting the animal's hooves wet. We will also cross the bridge better known as the Chievo Dam, a structure that has guarded the city of Verona for over 100 years. Along the way we will be constantly accompanied by the presence of Monte Baldo and the hills of Verona on the horizon, as well as the friendly swans, ducks and geese that inhabit the area.

We will finally return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 2 hours; the experience will last 2 ½ hours in total. And if you have selected the"walk + tasting" option when booking, at the end of the walk a tasting of local wines (included in the selected option) accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses will be waiting for you at the Montresor Winery. The winery experience also includes a visit to the Valpolicella Wine Museum and the underground cellars.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult.

A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate in this activity.

The experience is of a medium level because it may be physically tiring if you are not trained due to the duration; the itinerary is of an easy level and also suitable for a first horse ride.

Other information

Caution! In the event of a big river, there is no entry into the water.

The experience takes place from January to December and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 persons.

The duration of the excursion may vary depending on the number and experience level of the participants.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
