And it's not the only natural wonder you'll be able to spot by participating in our horseback ride to Pian D'alma: along the route that winds through the scenic Riserva Le Bandite di Scarlino, you'll enjoy a unique panoramic view of the sea and the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany.
A2-hour excursion, to discover the area in the company of an equestrian guide!
What we will do
The appointment is 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pian D'alma (GR). We will be welcomed at the stables by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all the participants have gathered and handed over theirequipment, we will meet the horses and proceed to saddle up. The riding guide will then teach us the basics of horseback riding so that we can have a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will immediately find ourselves immersed in the Riserva Le Bandite di Scarlino, a splendid natural setting characterised by Maremma scrubland. We will ride along a wooded path for about 30 minutes, and then skirt the beaches of Cala Civette and Cala Violina. The route will be enriched by the panoramic view of the sea, the beach of Punta Ala, and theisland of Elba!
During the walk we will be accompanied by 2 guides, who will open and close the group riding their trusty steeds. The hike will take place at the pass, on mostly sandy terrain with gentle gradients.
Entering wooded scenery again, we will complete the loop by returning to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 2 hours; the total experience will last 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; those under 18 must be accompanied to the riding stables by a responsible adult to sign a release form.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is at an easy level and suitable for a first horseback ride.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 4 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall. Leashed dogs are permitted in the riding hall.
