Full description
The province of Agrigento is one of our favourite destinations for horseback riding.
To understand why, just participate in our Montallegro adventure: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride for 1 hour through the pine forest and beach in the Platani River Nature Reserve.
In the saddle of your steed, you will then reach the scenic cliffs of Capo Bianco, which has nothing to envy to the more famous Scala dei Turchi!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Montallegro (AG), just 200 metres from the sea. We will be welcomed by the environmental equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and their horses, we will conclude their preparation by saddling them. After this initial approach, we will climb into the saddle and be given the basics of riding for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the natural setting around the riding school, venturing through the pine forest and beach. We will then reach the entrance to the Foce del Fiume Platani Oriented Nature Reserve, where the Capo Bianco cliff is located, reminiscent of the more famous Scala dei Turchi!
After riding about 4 km, we will return to the meeting point. The horse ride will last 1 hour; the experience will last 1 ½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children from 5 years of age; children under 14 years of age must be accompanied on the walk by an adult, either on horseback or on foot.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience is available from January to December.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons may follow the walk free of charge; any other accompanying persons may remain at the riding stables. Leashed dogs are permitted at the riding stables.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
