Full description
For nature lovers, here is anexclusive experience to enjoy with friends or family: a horseback ride in the Massarosa hills, in the province of Lucca.
In the saddle of one of the most fascinating and intelligent animals, you will ride through lush and varied nature and admire enchanting panoramas, such as the one that opens onto Lake Massaciuccoli, a marshy area in the heart of Tuscany.
To crown it all there will be a picnic with a view... you don't want to miss it, do you?
What we will do
The appointment is in Massarosa, in the province of Lucca.
Before starting the excursion, the guide will hold a 10-minute briefing to explain how to give the horse commands, stop it and pull it over. Your sweet companion in this experience will be a former 'retired' racehorse, who has found his second home at the farm.
Once this first part is over, you will set off along the paths that lead into the woods on the Massarosa hills, through dense and varied vegetation. You will cover about 20 km along the scenic route between Massarosa and Camaiore, with views of the Garfagnana mountains, Lake Massaciuccoli and its marshland.
On clear days you might even catch a glimpse of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the islands of the coast. In short, there will be no shortage of views to immortalise in photos and videos!
Halfway through, you will take a break in a picnic area equipped for a tasting of typical local products such as salami, cheese, wine and oil, and relax before resuming the excursion.
The activity will last a total of 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for those who already have some riding experience, e.g. have taken a few lessons or have already done other rides.
The minimum age for participation is 14; minors need not be accompanied by a parent.

The activity is available all year round for private groups of up to 10 people.
American saddles are used.
No bags or backpacks can be carried on the walk.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
