Full description
Olive groves, almond groves and Mediterranean scrub. Just imagine the colours and scents of this horse ride in the province of Agrigento!
Accompanied by a qualifiedequestrian guide from , you’ll ride for over an hour through the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve. You’ll pass through countryside, pine forests and along beaches until you reach the Dama Bianca cliff, which is reminiscent of the nearby Scala dei Turchi.
The best way to explore this corner of Sicily, in close contact with nature.
What we will do
I’ll be waiting for you at the agreed time at the riding school next to the beach, in the seaside resort of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). I’ll be there to welcome you at the riding school – your environmental equestrian guide!
On your arrival, I’ll introduce you to your horse and you’ll help me prepare it by finishing the tacking-up. After this initial introduction, I’ll help you mount in the English style and teach you the basics of riding so you can enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind.
That’s when our horse ride will begin: we’ll venture into the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, heading towards Siculiana Marina. Along the way, we’ll ride through a pine forest characterised by Mediterranean scrub, until we reach the beach. We’ll then ride through the countryside, amongst olive and almond groves, until we reach the Dama Bianca cliffs: these are very similar to the more famous Scala dei Turchi, which you’ll be able to spot in the distance.
After covering around 6–7 km, we’ll return to the meeting point, where an aperitif will be waiting for you, featuring a choice of drinks including water, tea, Coca-Cola, beer or wine, accompanied by a selection of snacks. The horse ride lasts about 1½ hours; the whole experience lasts about 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children from 5 years of age; children under 14 years of age must be accompanied on the walk by an adult, either on horseback or on foot.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in this activity.

The experience is available all year round.
The duration of the experience may vary depending on the rider’s ability.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying guests may join the ride on foot free of charge; any other accompanying guests may remain at the riding centre. Dogs on a lead are permitted at the riding centre.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
