An experience between land and sea, between nature reserve and beach!
This is what awaits you when you participate in our horseback ride: together with an equestrian guide, you will venture into the beautiful natural setting of Santa Maria del Focallo. You will ride through fragrant Mediterranean scrub and over sand dunes leading to the sea.
A2-hour excursion, discovering a wonderful corner of Sicily!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Santa Maria del Focallo (RG). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will proceed to saddle up and listen to the guide provide us with the basics of horse riding for a carefree experience. The guide will lead the excursion on horseback or on foot, depending on the needs of the individual participant; the walk will take place at pace.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture out to discover the beautiful natural setting of Santa Maria del Focallo, between land and sea. We will ride in the Maccone Bianco Nature Reserve, in the (fragrant) heart of the Mediterranean maquis that characterises the area; and we will walk on the Santa Maria del Focallo beach, considered one of the most beautiful in Sicily, where sea turtles come to lay their eggs!
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 3 years of age.
Children up to the age of 11 who wish to ride on horseback alone (and not with an adult) pay full fare as they will be supervised by a dedicated guide.
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to May; from June to September, only the sunrise or evening/night hike is available.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
It is possible for 2 people to ride 1 horse. Please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to indicate your preference to ride together.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
