Have you ever thought of walking the Via Francigena... on horseback?
Take part in our horseback ride in Siena: in the company of an equestrian guide, venture into the Montagnola Senese Park and greet the pilgrims travelling along the historic route. You can also choose to enrich the experience with an aperitif at the stables, to continue "tasting" the area.
A more than one-hour experience, just a short distance from the historic centre of the famous Tuscan destination.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point about 15 minutes away from the centre of Siena. We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this horseback adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, anintroduction on the ground will take place, followed by the saddle and explanation of the basics of horse riding. We will then get acquainted with the animal before going out for a ride.
When all the riders are ready, we will leave the riding school to venture into the Montagnola Senese Park along the Via Francigena. We will ride on white roads, crossing sown meadows and entering a forest. We will pass in the shadow of theHermitage of San Leonardo al Lago and may happen to greet some pilgrims along the way.
We will finally return to the meeting point. If the"walk + aperitif" option is selected when booking, we will be welcomed at the stables with an aperitif (included) consisting of bruschetta topped with local products and accompanied by a glass of prosecco. The horseback ride will last 1 hour and 10 minutes; the total experience will last 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult to sign a release form.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the clubhouse of the riding stables, which is equipped with a vending machine, and participate only in the aperitif by selecting the option at a cost of €10.00 per person when booking. Leashed dogs are allowed at the riding stables.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
