Full description
Would you like to ride through the vineyards and rolling hills of Chianti?
If the answer is yes, then you absolutely cannot miss our horseback ride just outside Siena.
Treat yourself to an hour and a half immersion in the Tuscan countryside, enjoying the company of these magnificent animals. You will ride on white roads until you reach a beautiful estate surrounded by greenery.
And if you have never ridden a horse? No problem: an experienced equestrian guide will accompany you, so you can enjoy this experience in total safety and peace of mind!
What we will do
The meeting is at the stables in Siena, where our guide will welcome us and introduce us to the beautiful horses.
The first part of the experience includes an introductory briefing lasting about 15 minutes. We will receive a smattering of horsemanship, with the basics of leading the horse during the ride.
Once the theoretical part is over, we will climb into the saddle to begin our ride on white roads approximately 10 km long. The guide, riding his horse, will be with us for the duration of the ride, so as to ensure maximum safety.
We will ride through the Sienese countryside, with its rows of vines and ancient farmhouses. Keeping a leisurely pace, we will be able to appreciate all the beauty of the Chianti hills.
We will ride as far as Tenuta Larnianone, a splendid country farmhouse surrounded by greenery as far as the eye can see, before returning to the riding stables after about an hour and a half 's ride.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone, aged 14 and over, with a maximum weight limit of 100 kg. Children under the age of 18 may only take part in the walk if accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The activity is held from March to December and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
The riding school cannot be reached by public transport. On request, a taxi service is available at an extra charge within 4 km from the centre of Siena; to request it, contact the organiser at the contact details you will receive by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
Horse riding is available in both English and American style.
