How about a horseback ride through Italy's most beautiful countryside?
Don't miss the chance to ride among the rows of vines as far as the eye can see in Chianti with our 2-hour excursion!
Leaving from a beautiful riding school at the gates of Siena, you will venture along a 17 km nature trail in the company of an expert guide and your favourite animal, the horse!
What we will do
We will meet at the time selected during the booking process at the stables in Siena, where the guide will welcome us and introduce us to the beautiful and docile horses.
Before riding, we will have an introductory briefing lasting about 15 minutes, especially if this is our first time riding a horse. The guide will give us a basic introduction to horse riding, teaching us how to handle the horse during the ride.
After the briefing, we will mount the saddle to begin our 17-kilometre loop ride. We will ride into the heart of the Tuscan countryside between the territories of Chianti Classico and Montalcino, moving along white roads completely immersed in nature.
Riding at pace between rows of vines and ancient farmhouses, we will enjoy the colours and scents of this splendid territory. The guide will accompany us along the entire route, to ensure maximum safety.
Finally, after admiring the splendid Larnianone Estate and passing through a small forest, we will return to the riding stables.
The activity lasts approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone, aged 14 and over, with a maximum weight limit of 100 kg. Children under the age of 18 may only take part in the walk if accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The activity is held from March to December, with daily departures in the morning and afternoon. The ride is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
The riding school cannot be reached by public transport. On request, a taxi service is available at an extra charge within 4 km of the centre of Siena; to request it, contact the organiser at the contact details you will receive by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
Horse riding is available in both English and American style.
